Obsequies

I was discussing with a friend of mine about getting “high” from cigarettes, debating with him rather, so here is my entire response to his ubiquitous delusion on getting a “high”.

So Getting “high” on Cigarettes: True or False.

Cigarettes contain nicotine; a powerful, addictive stimulant. In addition, there is a concentration of Carbon Monoxide (CO) in the cigarette smoke.

With the presence of CO, Oxygen from the red blood cells are displaced causing the lack of its flow to the brain. The body then experiences a light-headedness, followed by a wave of dizziness commonly known as the ‘nicotine buzz’, this process is medically known as Hypoxia.

So my dear friend, it is not a “high”. So FALSE.
